I am 19. I imagined that people around here would be a bit older.
I feel very fortunate actually. You see, even before people were using the term retro gamer I was indeed a retro gamer and have always been one. I started on the NES when the last few apt titles (Kirbys Adventure etc) were being released in PAL regions. Following this I picked up an Amiga 5000 and an Atari while staying afloat with the SNES. And I've been playing catch up ever since.
I feel very blessed to have been put in this situation as it means that even though I am only 19, I have never had to backtrack on consoles. I've played them in succession and had plenty of games for each console (although I am currently adding more to the collection). Everyone else my age (except my best mate) had missed out on the NES, Amiga etc. So I feel very fortunate.
I guess this makes me part of the first wave of retro gamers.
