I can't really think of any intro I really hate or anything, but I guess I was pretty let down by Metal Gear Solid 4's breaking of the awesome opening sequence tradition the series had.

I would do this with Donkey Kong Country. One of my favorite game intros ever.

Sonic Adventure 2. After the original's epic 5 minute CGstraveganza I was expecting something awesome. All I got was the title screen.

But sonic jumping out of the helicopter was pretty sweet. Although the sa2 demo version was cooler where the pilot swore.
