Tips for removing stickers from Labels
I wasnt sure if this was the right forum to post this question in but I figured i'd be pretty safe with a forum called whatever.
Anyway I have some SNES games of rarity that happen to have rental store stickers that run across the game labels. I've used goo gone to remove the stickers that were just on the grey part of the cart and was just curious to see if anyone knows of a method to remove stickers that overlap onto the games label.
Any help would be greatly appreciated even if I just get a bunch of guys telling me its impossible. Thanks a lot.

Definately. If anyone has general info on how to clean labels I would love to hear it aswell.Lodestar wrote:I wanted to know about this as well, as well as cleaning the labels themselves.

Yeah I didn't even really read your post. Figured it was just the 10th thread asking about removing stickers from hard surfaces. Sorry.Crabmaster2000 wrote:Thats great. Might have been, I'm not sure. I mean basically, you wanna remove stickers from cart labels, which are also just stickers. Sounds risky. I'd take to them very carefully with a razor blade.Crabmaster2000 wrote:Honest mistake. I couldnt see any other thread about this though. If there is one that I missed however please direct me there.

Its very risky. Im wondering if any there are any "tricks" that people have come across or heard about. I've got a copy of Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for the SNES and there is a freakin rental sticker across its label that drives me crazy. Im to nervous to try your Razor idea because even if I can get the rental sticker off ill probably scratch up the Ninja Gaiden label in the process.Mozgus wrote:Might have been, I'm not sure. Yeah, that's definitely not a good idea - since there WILL be residue. Maybe you can try 'moistening' the sticker and then rubbing/peeling it off. Don't put too much water or else you'll ruin the bottom label. Depending on whether the gloss on the label is still in good shape, you might be okay.
Just an idea.
