About time that turd died. As one commenter said, it was the Virtual Boy of this generation. Who wants to own a PSP that will be impossible to buy anything for 10 years from now when the Playstation store is no longer compatible with PSP? Almost no one, apparently.

Gosh, its all just so surprising!
Who could have imagined that this platform would bomb? I simply never saw it coming.
Hopefully Sony will have some more sense in the future.

Re: PSP Go discontinued
Hmmm it seemed like an ok device, but not very practical. At all. Maybe i'll pick one up on the cheap and hack the shit out of it.

Re: PSP Go discontinued
I like the PSP go. It's a nice little machine for what it is, an experiment from Sony. I think Sony just threw it out there just to see how it would do, they weren't very serious about it. Thought it did have a serious price tag. It's like Sony just had a bunch of Sony Mylo chassis laying around and they slapped PSP controls on it. I bought one cheap at a 2nd hand shop just to have one. I also have a PSP 1000 and 3000, so I use the Go for my JPN PSN purchases.
Oh well, RIP little fella, I'll be buying your successor once she arrives!

Re: PSP Go discontinued
I actually like the idea of downloading straight to the device.
Obviously it has its disadvantages, but who wants to have to carry around all their games with them, when you can just have them all saved on a drive?

I kind of liked the Go. If they weren't so expensive I'd get one just for PSN exclusive titles and reasonably priced ps1 games.
Oh well. Somebody had to experiment with a download only gaming system.

I know you like those UMDs man but they were a pretty stupid idea hardware-wise.noiseredux wrote:note to Sony: bring back UMD!
Moving parts on a handheld is what we don't need. Although, I won't deny that they look pretty cool.
