If you consider HL2 to be cinematic then I'll add that Portal is cinematic.

I hate to say it but I couldn't get into Planescape. Felt like reading a novel with some cool backdrops and... I wanted a little more than that I guess.

Thanks for the recommendations, guys. So Planescape seem more like a novel? That's funny cuz I could have sworn that the game had audio clips. Mind you, I've never played the game...

He probably meant that's it very, very slow and dialogue heavy. Which it is. If atmospheric games are what you're after though, it's a pretty good bet.

Not in the mood to be listing titles, but this one has been overlooked.

Forgot all about that one. Worth a play, although you'll have to set up Dosbox to play it unless you're on Windows 98 still.

I tried messing with ScummVM. Ended up using DOSbox instead, since I already know how to do pretty much anything in it, while I would have to learn to use ScummVM.

There's not much to learn with ScummVM. Unzip the game. Start ScummVM. Select "Add Game" and navigate to the game. Hit OK. Hit Start. You are now playing the game.
