Here's another retroport-type adapter for Gamecube/Wii that has support for NES, SNES, Genesis, and N64

I've never used it for N64 but the other three ports are awesome. It provides a good bit of cord too.

You know, if you'd rather pay $400 instead of $20.

$350!

Still a helluva lot more, but the Q is pretty. If I ever find one sub $200 shipped Ill probably pick it up - that would make 6 cubes in my house then...

Get the Game Boy Player for the Panasonic Q too. A little harder to find, but worth it.

I Second this. I have both a retroport from retroUSB and a GTRON 4-in-1. I prefer the GTRON because it allows me to use my NES, SNES, or Genesis controller. Please note, you can only use one at a time If you want player 1 to have a SNES controller and player 2 to have a NES controller, you'll need two GTRON adapters.

You get an actual image of the original GBA hand held console that takes up most of your TV screen and the actual game screen is where it would be on the GBA? I didn't care for that too much, did it do that for original GB & GB Color games? I can't remember. :?
it's not as drastic as you remember. Here's a (blurry) pic of Street Fighter II Turbo Revival running on the GameCube GB Player:

do you see that gray border around the edges of the screen? That's it. Certainly not taking up most of the screen as you remember, eh?
Definitely not man. I don't know why I keep seeing it in my mind. It was a purple GBA image magnified with the game you were playing on the screen of the GBA, Idk the aspect ratio. I think I was playing SMB classic series for GBA so maybe it's just certain games or I needed to adjust the screen options? I need to get a freaking screen shot to show you what I'm talking about dude. This is driving me nuts, I could've sworn I saw this when I played it. :P I'll get back on this one once I can find a shot.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

What the hell is that Panasonic Q thing? and why is it so expensive?? lol

well it turned out that the GC didn't count even as a purchase option towards the buy 2 get 2 free at gamestop so i didn't get one. Honestly im leery about buying used systems there anyway, i dont think they do anything to clean or inspect them, they just take them and resell them. I really want a gamecube to use the GBA player mainly. Thats not something you can do with the wii unfortunately. Plus it would be nice to have the real system instead of just using the wii all the time.

I guess i'll have to keep an eye on ebay or something, but a lot of the systems seems kinda beat up. Id like to buy one from an original owner who took care of it, but thats gonna be difficult =( Its a pain because it seems most original owners are thier GC's with a bunch of games and stuff (that i dont want) so the price jumps up. Im having a hard time finding a good one with the ports, that someone bought new and was the only owner. Especially with the GBA adaptor >_< blea. Dont know where else to look other than ebay though.

Thanks for the info on that link up cable. I had a question. For stuff that lets you transfer data from a GBA game; can you use the GBA player (the box thing you hook the system up to) or do you HAVE to use the little link cable thing i posted earlier? I do not own a GBA so i was hoping i could just use the GBA adaptor that you stick on the gamecube for stuff like fire emblem transfer data, ect

im still thinkign gtmtnbiker was messing with me saying the China made ones are actually better than the Japanese made ones =P

*edit* i notice they have a silver one on ebay new for 115 bucks. ... im kinda contemplating that so i know it would work, but im pretty sure that would be one of the analog only port ones wouldn't it? price seems high too
