I never use it to mean "confused," but rather "FML."

I may be getting it too... but not until I have some idea of where the selections and menus will take me... from what I've gathered, unless one knows Japanese (or plays the PAL version), Shinobido is practically impenetrable (certain key aspects of it anyway)

I can see how that would work

Yeah... that's a bit of a problem. If you're going through all the trouble to play this one game though, I'm sure you wouldn't mind going referencing an FAQ while you're playing and what not.

I thought about that too... I'll know more of what's going on when I get Swap Magic and see what happens... I've only been able to find one FAQ for the game and I don't remember exactly what but there was something about it that I didn't like. Potentially I'll learn and play the PAL version and possibly just end up getting the JP version to have in my collection (along w/ the JP Tenchus). And maybe end up playing the JP version if what I've learned from the PAL version proves useful. Not entirely practical, I know, but something I'll probably do.

But besides that, anyone know about this??

Does this mean my TV will display a 50hz PAL signal? :?
::fingers crossed!::

optmusprimenumber wrote:The Shinobido message board over at Gamefaqs has a handful of people saying that it works fine, the HUD is all at the top of the screen and the character is centered (vertically) on the screen so there's room below him to allow the cutoff. And I've seen that guide of yours, I think I mentioned it in my first post, you seem to know your stuff :) perhaps you know the answer to this:

No need to convert, just boot Swap Magic in PAL mode. You TV specs seems to support both NTSC and PAL. However if the PS2 is NTSC, then you will need a custom flip top or the method noise recommended.

It will appear on the second Swap Magic screen. You can choose a the Default Video Setting Load or NTSC or PAL. Note that the video format selected is not what the game is but what video screen you want to display it in. Once you get Swap Magic, please let me know if it works and if the screen centers. With your 50hz/60hz screen should work.

For a reference for others can you add the results back to the Playstation PAL NTSC Conversion Guide? Maybe attach a screenshot?

I'm using that Thread for all information I can gather concerning playing various region games on the Playstation Systems. A one stop PAL NTSC conversion reference in the Guides Section.

I'm starting to think I might just want to chip-mod my PS2 for this whole deal. Any thoughts?
