Ordered Eschatos. Bullet Soul is getting mixed reviews, so I'll probably pick it up used soon. Also got Muchi Pork/ Pink Sweets. Super excited about that one!cabrando wrote:Bullet Soul

Re: Xbox 360 Shooter Checklist
I'm fairly new to shmups but I'm really loving Ikagura and Bangi O on the Dreamcast. I even got Ikagura for the GC and the Bangi O HD on 360 as well as Aegis Wing. I really prefer shmups that have a multiplayer option, but single players will do if they're really fun or have something kind of different. I'm starting to make a list of games to download from live and was wondering are there any of the 360 release that you'd recommend and are there disc versions of these games I can get instead? If there are disc versions available cheap then I'd just assume get those. Is there any reason to get Ikagura on 360 if I have the older versions already? Thanks for compiling this list btw, it's gotten me addicted to a whole new genre.

Re: Xbox 360 Shooter Checklist
If you're looking for cheap shmups on disc (I'm assuming you're in North America), your best bet is Raiden Fighters aces, Raiden 4, and deathsmiles. Amazon has all 3, and the deathsmiles standard edition is criminally cheap at $23 as of 5/17/11. Absolutely insane. I've got the import, but the bargain hound in me still wants to jump on that deal. Raiden fighters aces has 3 amazing shmups on it, for 25 bucks.Wombatula wrote:I'm fairly new to shmups but I'm really loving Ikagura and Bangi O on the Dreamcast. Also coming down the pipeline this summer is the US release of Otomedius Excellent. You're looking at $40 for that one, and it will be totally worth it.
And your experience will be 10 times more enjoyable if you get yourself a stick.

Re: Xbox 360 Shooter Checklist
I played a demo of KOF: Sky Stage the other night. I might get clowned by saying this, but I actually really enjoyed the game because I like Castle of Shikigami, which this one greatly resembles.

Re: Xbox 360 Shooter Checklist
It's a great deal considering the alternative is 80 bucks for JPN. But isn't that a bit expensive for a downloadable game? I have very little experience with XBLA.cabrando wrote:You can now get Death Smiles2 X on XBLA in USA. Cost is $29.99
Re: Xbox 360 Shooter Checklist
It's a full 360 game, so I'd judge its price differently from your standard XBLA game.
