Which do you prefer more: Donkey Kong Country GBC or GBA?
Also, what's your preference on the various DS portables?
Thank you in advance.

Re: this or that?
they're both good. The GBA port is pretty damn close to the SNES original. The GBC version is a nice example of the GBC's hardware (think of it like successfully running the SNES game on a NES).Dude wrote:Which do you prefer more: Donkey Kong Country GBC or GBA?

I liked the gba port because it does the original fair justice

The GBC version to me feels like: "I wish they hadn't done that."

SNES>GBA>GBC is the ranking I've heard most often. Besides, the SNES controller is more comfortable than either Gameboy.

I only played the GBA version, but I hated it because I had the original GBA.

I like the SNES version the best overall but on the handheld I preferred the GBA version.

The only thing the original got wrong is the screen. I wish, I WISH they had updated the screen and left the form factor alone. The SP is so cramped! I just recently started playing GBA on my PSP, and it's just great. No hand cramping, big screen .. heaven. I bought (and loved) the Micro on day one, but at the end of the day the screen is too small for a lot of games, and even though they got the form factor right, it's a bit too small to be comfortable.GSZX1337 wrote:I only played the GBA version, but I hated it because I had the original GBA.
The PSP is the perfect GBA, lol.

Agree the GBA SP buttons are close together.irixith wrote:The only thing the original got wrong is the screen. I wish, I WISH they had updated the screen and left the form factor alone. But on the plus, it does fit nicely in the front jeans pocket.

Fair point -- I used to carry the Micro everywhere I went in my purse..CRTGAMER wrote:Agree the GBA SP buttons are close together.irixith wrote:The only thing the original got wrong is the screen.
