The most popular games people play on here are:
Borderlands
Magicka
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Team Fortress 2
I play all of the above from time to time (mostly Bad Company 2 and Magicka though) but I'm so out of the loop with Team Fortress 2 that it's almost too intimidating to play now. I'm always up for playing Magicka though. I would play that game with friends over and over without hesitation.
Steam games?

Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 are also good for online mutliplayer, but I think a lot of people have bored with them here. I know there are a few Counterstrike: Source players, but that game is impenetrable if you haven't played it for years. The only people that seem to play it are of god-like ability. The same is happening with Team Fortress 2
I'm always wishing more people played Metal Drift, but it's never really caught on.
I have very rarely managed to match up with anyone here to play online. It's hard to coordinate plus get everything working. I've played Magicka with Niode, Street Fighter IV with Mozgus, and I think I once dropped into a game of Team Fortress 2 that Mr. Popo was in. The best way to go about things is to just check your friends list to see what your friends are playing, then pop in the game or send them an IM to get rolling.

Yeah, it's hard to coordinate anything. Basically all I've played with anyone is Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter with GSZX, GoldenEye: Source with Niode and emwearz (at different times), TF2 with emwearz, and I'm sure I've played Alien Swarm with one of you guys, though I can't remember.J T wrote: I have very rarely managed to match up with anyone here to play online.
Basically, get them on your friends list, and if they're on, send 'em a message.

Played Swarm with my Yoshi!
Just join the RB group on Steam, then go through the list and add people you know. Couldn't be any easier.

I will contend that it was based on Bunny hopping and trick jumps, atleast on some maps, but there is NO WAY TFC players are as bad as Melee/Brawl players. TFC gamers dont REQUIRE CRT monitors or top of the line tvs when playing the games competitively because they believe 2ms of lag on the tv is impossible to play with.General_Norris wrote:Also, between you and me, TFC's community is one of the worst I have ever seen. It's comparable in douchebaggery to the Super Smash Bros Melee/Brawl split and that's saying something
TFC to me is the epitome of a team/class based game - it is simple enough to learn, impossible to master, and when played with everyone at roughly the same skill level - simply alot of fun. It can be a bit chaotic, but it is just fun (unless one team is stacked then its no fun).
TF2 got rid of the conc, which was my favorite part of TFC. I love the comedy and artstyle of TF2, just never got into playing it.
