Coors light. I've recently cut most of the soda out of my diet and only generally drink beer and such on the weekends (its not band practice without a few brews when you're in a metal band). moderation is the key, but its so easy to pound down a 12 pack of mt dew/beer/a 5th of vodka.

Re: What Are You Drinking?
In the past I've tried substituting iced tea for soda, but it gets boring and I miss the sugar. The experiment usually ends in a month long Big Gulp binge.
The Arnold Palmer (half iced tea/half lemonade) cuts down on the calories and sugar in comparison to soda and it's still tasty with a pleasant sweetness to it.
A 20 oz. Arnold Palmer has 150 calories and 35 grams of sugar while a regular Coke of the same size has 240 calories and 65 grams of sugar. Of course, diet soda beats them both in those categories, but I can't stand the taste of that stuff.
As a bonus, it's relatively cheap if you buy the 1 gallon size (usually $3 to $3.50). Since it's not carbonated you don't have to worry about it going flat like a 2 liter soda. If I don't overdo it, a gallon can last me close to 2 weeks.

Niode wrote:I'm not drinking right now (it's 10:42AM on a Sunday morning) but the last beer I had was a wonderful Dutch beer by Brouwerij De Molen (located in Amsterdam in a windmill) called Zak and As. I've had this one sat in my beer cellar quite a while now as it's got a crazy amount of sediment in the bottle so I made sure to wait a couple of months so that it poured crystal clear. It poured perfect and can only imagine that the couple of months sat in the darkness of my cellar helped mature it's flavour somewhat.
It's a pale beer brewed with German rauchmalts (Bamberg smoked malt). It says on the label 'Rook Blond Bier' (literally Smoked blonde beer). It's got a wonderful nose to it, like oak smoking chips, honey and rose petals. The taste is unbelievable. The smoke balance is just right, I like my smoked beers, Aecht Schlenkerla Doppelbock is one of my favourite beers of all time, and this is actually a serious contender for that crown. It has the wonderful crisp saaz hope bitterness that is commonly found in most of De Molens beers with a nice smooth honey like sweetness finishing off with a lovely smokey, almost peat like finish. Yum.
I wonder if they sell that in the US, that looks awesome. I haven't had really kick ass beer in a while. Last one of merit I drank was a cask conditioned brown ale from Legend brewery in Richmond Va.
