Just like FFXI should have just been called Final Fantasy Online, and FFXIV should have been called Final Fantasy Online 2 (surprised no one has mentioned being crushed by FFXIV being unplayable/incomplete on launch yet). The last numbered FF game should have been 10. A nice even number to end on, and it was the last traditional turn based one. XIII is it's own entire series for chrissake, it should have just been called Final Fantasy: Fabula Nova Crystallis, and all of the other titles should have incorporated this name, or something similar.

I dunno. Final Fantasy sucks.

Seriously, it's just gonna be silly from here on. "Hey guys have you checked out Final Fantasy 15?" saying that is just hilarious.

Pretty much agree with those above on FFXII to an extent. All in all, I say it's like Vagrant Story Lite... and not nearly as good as VS.

I just had one: Metroid Other M. Not that I think it's a bad game. Haven't played it. That's the issue. I didn't realize it was a dual layered game and my launch Wii stopped reading them a year back. Nintendo is supposed to fix this issue for free, and I sent it to them. However, they may deny me based on the fact that I softmodded my Wii a few years back. Mind you, it's been a few years since I updated over that, but I know they can tell and would be within their terms to deny me. Hopefully they don't as softmodding really isn't the source of this problem. I know it's going to a third party repair facility, so I think I've got a shot.

Bought the game as a kind of gift to myself for getting through the school hell week before finals :( . You should have seen the look on my face when I got that disc read error like 15 times in a row.

I am starting to have a bit of buyer's remorse with my launch 3DS, but I think I'll feel better once I get BlazBlue CS2 and Ocarina of Time 3D in the coming months.

However, I have absolutely no regrets for buying all of Nippon Ichi's PS3 RPGs at their respective launches.

The CSII balance patch is FINALLY coming to PS3. About damn time.

Have you played Disgaea 4 yet, or waiting for localization?

Is your wii still soft modded at all? You could always just install the tools needed to play the game off a USB drive. I do that for all my games now, its so much better then using the discs.

I always buy the years NHL game full price and on first day, those 2 years were pure crap.

That is such a waste of money...

Personally, I buy an NHL game every time my team wins the Stanley cup (2009 Pens) :P

Also, I have not bought a new game for full price since the n64 days, and even those were only first party titles. However, I have bought a few DS games on the clearance rack (Ford Racing, Crash! Boom! Bang!, Tony Hawk's Motion) for ~15 dollars, and they were all such miserable pieces of shit. I was most disapointed with Tony Hawk's motion because I really liked American sk8land, and I liked the use of the gyro-sensor in WarioWare Twisted, so I figured it would be like a match made in heaven. Damned American Sk8land made me buy 5 other tony hawk's games before I realized that I managed to buy the one gem of the series.

I could soft mod it again very easily. That's probably what I'll do if Nintendo sends the Wii back to me without repairing it. I don't have the money for a new Wii right now. I'm afraid of the temptation to pirate, but I think I'd probably be fine. If I don't pay for a game I won't value it and won't end up playing it. I'm sure that's the case for many people though.

I'm confident that NISA will localize it. I they've been really good with localizations this generation. Plus, it's Disgaea, their most well-known series in America, and their cash cow.

Omg, me too! Actually I didn't get it on its release day, but my bro got it for me as a gift Christmas 2010, PC version brand new for $30. I didn't hold on to it for long. In fact, I posted a review here basically explaining why it fell short.
