My saturn is messed up and I was wondering is it fixable?

ok, when i have to choose the language and time I cant see what im selecting, when the logo loads it says sega saturn but it doesnt display the logo, the game menu comes up and music plays but when the game loads a level it only shows the background.

Is this with original games?
do you have a chip installed?
Did it work before?

i never installed anything on it, the guy that gave it to me said it worked before and im using original games yes.

probably a video input problem. try the wire of a friend's or the connection is buster, either the wire or the saturn's input of the wire.

its not the cables Im using the same cables on a different saturn and it works perfectly.

try cleaning the lense. or swapping cd-roms between the saturns if possible. i did this to 2 DCs and they ended up working.

What would the cd unit have to do with a malfunctioning bios?

Anyways yeah thats my best guess. Maybe the BIOS chip took some static damage or something.
