He changed the original comic, but not before I was able to save it. I put it on my site, then I posted it in the chat for the live drawing of Questionable Content. My site's traffic more than doubled in five minutes for the entire day.

Not sure whether to  or :?.

EDIT: Searching "Tim Buckley" on Twitter had my tweet with the original comic linked as a Top Tweet for a few minutes. :P
EDIT 2: It's a TT again.

I don't know what he was thinking when he wrote that strip. I've never noticed black men to be extra loud in theaters, it's kids who do that.

Jééz guys, relax. I'm a black man and even I find it funny. I think it's just too dry for most of you to find it funny, and you americans take the black and white thing just far too seriously. Like, fààààààr too seriously. Relax those ass cheeks guys...

Ps. Ok, I'm not really black, I'm just european...

I seriously doubt Tim Buckley is a racist. He's just very provocative in a very dry way, without being shy of some controversy. The only thing that makes this comic racist is the stupidly infuriated comments people make on it.

If I was him, I would not have apologized and I sure as Hell would not have changed it to please the masses. On the contrary. I would be pissed people can be so narrow-minded and stuck-up. He's a pussy for changing his comic. Seriously, now that he 'adjusted' the comic it's not funny anymore, at all...

And no, I'm not a racist. Racism is just plain stupid. Just sayin'...

I agree. If anything he should embarrassed for making an easy black-people-are-loud-in-theatres joke. It's been done a thousand times - which further perplexes me how people can still find it offensive rather than played-out.

I don't see how this is any different than saying most white people dance bad.

Hah, I'm not american, so this was really my first black-people-are-loud-in-theatres joke. lol

I understand the played-out thing you're talking about. Still, some jokes get funnier over time. The more you repeat them, the funnier they get. And since this is very dry humour, I would say the above applies to this joke. Even more, a joke can be told a 1000 times, but it's the flair with which you bring the joke that makes or breaks it. A bad joke teller can ruin even the best joke. All in all, I think he did a great job with this one... ^^

But I understand dry humour is not for everyone. Obviously... lol

Now that's offensive!... Take it back!...

The thing is is that Buckley is renowned in the webcomic world for being a major asshole. His series of comics on pregnancy with it ending in a miscarriage wasn't handled well at all.

Then there are the plagiarism arguments:

Image

And his general laziness. Not changing the shadowing after his copy and pasted characters change positions is a big one. Notice the shadowing on Lucas's pants in the fourth panel and Lilah's left sleeve in the first three:

Though he is very good at changing emotions with his characters:
