Is this still rumor territory? I did not see what their source was.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Yep, I knew it! Here we go...

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: E3 2011 Predictions
I told myself that this gen was the last one I would support. I plan to stick to that too, so it's weird to finally see the beginning of the new consoles I won't be owning.
Re: E3 2011 Predictions
You know what? You've probably got the right idea. I mean, it'll take a lifetime just to play all the games on the systems you already have.brunoafh wrote:I told myself that this gen was the last one I would support. But I am a total softy for Nintendo and have only missed one generation. I'd like to say I'm sitting this one out but I just set aside $20 for a purchase in 2012...

Awesome! A new Nintendo console. I really hope games come 100% complete on physical media. Otherwise, I will probably pass on it.
I've already given up on Sony and Microsoft systems for various reasons, so Nintendo is the only company that I buy modern hardware from now. I would like to see it continue for a little longer.
But like others have said, there are already more than enough old games to keep me happy for the rest of my life, so I will be fine either way.
I gotta say that Nintendo has really good timing with this announcement. Microsoft and Sony invested so much time and money into creating their "Wii too" motion devices. Right when those investments will be starting to pay off for them, they will be overshadowed by Nintendo's new console and be forced to spend more time and money on releasing their own next-gen consoles.

That's probably not going to happen. Like it or not, pure digital media is here to stay.Inazuma wrote:Awesome! A new Nintendo console. I really hope games come 100% complete on physical media. Otherwise, I will probably pass on it.

Re: E3 2011 Predictions
10 years from now, sure. I can see it being all digital. But a console that Nintendo releases in 2011 or 2012 will likely use physical media. We just don't have the bandwidth available for 10 gig downloads right now. Not only is the internet very slow in the USA but many isp's have data caps in place. That's why you usually see smaller sized games available for download.AmishSamurai wrote:That's probably not going to happen. Like it or not, pure digital media is here to stay.Inazuma wrote:Awesome!
