Why the fascination with Elena? She's alright, but I think she's one of the less memorable/interesting characters out of the glossed over SFIII characters. I'd like to see Oro or Q make a comeback myself.

Elena was easily the worst character designs in SFIII. Her animations were unnatural, her move list was full of odd hitboxes, and she was incredibly boring to fight. Elena needs to never come back.

Boring to fight? Maybe when you play the computer. You play anyone half-way decent with Elena, it'll be about as 'boring' as a fight with a seasoned Eddy or Voldo.

Elena was easily the most fun character to play as in SF3 for me. That's all I care about. Compared to the rest of the cast in SF3, she was tops when it comes to fun factor - and considering the rest of the cast, that's a pretty damn good accomplishment.

But whatever, Capoeira characters never get no love. Haters gonna hate.

Think that's mostly because full-contact capoeira is so obscure a sport.

I'd actually prefer to see Q and Alex make their comebacks to be honest, never gave a toss about characters from Alpha or the EX series.

I wasn't hating. I was just curious as to why you liked Elena so much that you won't purchase games she's not in.

Alex has made a few comebacks already. I would have liked to see him in SFIV though, same with Q.

Wasn't directed at you.

As for why I wouldn't purchase the game otherwise - I don't like really like Tekken. I wanted to like SF4, but just couldn't. I wanted to like SSF4, and I thought I would considering 3S characters were coming - but I still couldn't.

I came to realize the reason I didn't like SF4 is because none of the characters felt fun to play as. I could win, and I often did, but I just wasn't having fun. It was pointless.

Really, Elena isn't the only character I want in. I'd also like to see Alex, Oro, Rolento and more than a few others - but I'd just prefer Elena above all the rest.

Then again, considering the only game she's in is SF3, maybe I only think I'd like her in SFxT because I like her in SF3. Capcom may take all the fun out of her in SFxT the same way they took all the fun out of Sakura and Dudley in SF4.

I hear you. I used to love Tekken in the PS1 days, and I think Tekken Tag Tournament on the PS2 is excellent. I don't really like 3D fighters in general though, and the Tekken series has continually gone downhill since Tekken 3 (with the exception of Tag Tournament).

I guess my nostalgia for the Tekken PS1 games is enough to pull some interest for the game out of me. The novelty of playing a 2D Tekken Capcom-fighter and being able to pit SF characters against Tekken characters is enough to sell me.

SF4 disappointed me as well, but I was still able to enjoy it. It's no SF3 or GGXX, but there's some fun to be had. MvC3 disappointed me more (But still, I was able to enjoy that game too. I guess I'm just a sucker for fighters period.)

I really like the first 3 Tekkens a lot actually.

Eddy and Voldo, you mean the 2 dumbest characters from their respective games? Yeah, that's a perfect example, actually. Fighting them is just dumb. They're boring characters, and nobody likes them for a reason.

Wow, seriously? How is fighting them 'dumb'? Because they don't play by the same rule book as most every other character in the game?

Y'know, not every character has to fit your playstyle. There's plenty of characters I hate playing as, yet I'm still glad that they are there. Variety is important for a fighting game. People hate Eddy and Voldo for the same reason I like them (and Elena) - they're unpredictable. You accuse Elena of having weird hitboxes - that's the whole point. Using that to your advantage can make her a far more deadly character than a more linear character.

You need to open your eyes and lay off the haterade.
