Another tidbit, stresspass is disabled if your 3DS is connected to the internet or a WIFI point. I bought my wife a 3DS and we were both unable to stresspass each other until we disabled the Internet Connection settings.
I'm still unsure if it's one tag every 12 hours or 24 hours. I'm pretty certain it's every 12.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and as far as I know, the 3DS will only street pass if it is closed, it will not do it if you are playing it. Learned this while playing on the bus. Same with the pedometer, it will not count steps if you are playing, I guess Nintendo wants to discourage people from playing while walking ^_^

If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?
Re: Nintendo 3DS
If I can interject here for a second without seeming random, I have a question for you 3DS buyers.
Do you feel that the device was worth $250?
I've been (lightly) considering buying one, but I've told myself not to for the reasons most others that haven't bought have (not many launch titles, guarantee that a revision will pop up in a year's time).

No, I don't feel like it's worth $250. No, I don't regret buying it. My justification is that with it's current sales, it won't decrease in price for a while, so might as well jump on the bandwagon. As for revisions, I sold all my old DSes on ebay, and only paid $50-$100 to upgrade to the next revision if necessary. But as it stands, I'm surprised that my only gripe about the system so far is price and no 3DS shop for virtual console games yet.brunoafh wrote:If I can interject here for a second without seeming random, I have a question for you 3DS buyers.

I didn't pay RRP for mine so I'm quite happy with it. I'm catching up on a lot of DS gaming I missed out on after my DS lite just stopped interesting me. Plus I'm hopelessly addicted to SSFIV3D...brunoafh wrote:If I can interject here for a second without seeming random, I have a question for you 3DS buyers.

I just wish there were more games for the damn thing. There's nothing due until May at the earliest, and even then it's Steel Diver and DoA... Joy...

I dunno, I'm quite looking forward to DoA. Steel Diver looks interesting, but I think I'll wait for a lower price.Niode wrote:I didn't pay RRP for mine so I'm quite happy with it. Re: Nintendo 3DS
Kinda late to the party but I played the 3DS for the first time the other day in gamestop. I only played SSFIV but it played very well. It looked amazing with and without 3D turned on. The analog is also very nice, way better than the sand paper one the psp has. Once some good games come out for it, I may purchase one. The 3DS has a lot of potential and I think Nintendo did an outstanding job.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
That sounds less like it's related to the 3DS and has more to do with the overall state of the industry. Nintendo wants people who understand the fun of video games.

Anyone pick up a Nyko PowerPak+? I got one for my wife for her extended Animal Crossing binges, but it seems that after she got it, her street pass has been finicky. She has been exiting the NDS games properly, so I don't know what the issues could be aside from the possibility of the battery causing the sleep mode wifi to go out of whack.
