not in the way most saturn games do. but i do remember my brother having kof 95 and being able to play the BGM on the stereo's cd player.

A lot of the very early PS1 games had CDDA. Eventually they all learned to just use ADX or some other compressed stream format to conserve space. And others eventually mastered the music sequencing engine, especially Squaresoft. A good thing too.

Wild 9 has some decent music that I'm sure is rip-able, too.

Check that out if you have windows/linux it's an emulation plugin for winamp/xmms/foobar2000 that emulates the playstation sound format. It also works with PSF2 (ps2 sound format). That will allow you to play any psf file directly in winamp. If you're on Mac os x theres always Audio Overload which supports psf1 files.

It's not foolproof as not all games used this format. Some games use CDDA which is rip-able straight from the disc and others like tony hawks etc use compressed audio in ADX format due to the commercial music used in those games.

I remember playing the original Wipeout in a CD player. Besides being an awesome game, it had that sweet mid-90's techno soundtrack, a-la Hackers.
