I dont think anyone is "dissing" anything I just dont appriate having to buy two games I brought SFIV when it came out expecting the MP to last quite a while I had to then go out and buy SSFIV to continue playing. Thats lame if its a "budget" title or not it could have come with the DLC from SFIV for example making Another purchase which is basically the same game easier to swallow.

At the end of the day I'll buy the SSFIV:AE DLC because I like Street fighter, Not because I'm obsessed with it. I think you got your panties in a bunch for no reason.

Getting a bit tired of people dissing anything new and fighting game related just because it's the "cool" thing to do. Seems like people are afraid that they're not hardcore enough if they enjoy playing a solid mainstream fighter. Don't get me wrong, I love SFIII too and I'll definitely be buying the online edition as soon as it comes out, but I'm not obsessed with it enough so that anything else doesn't matter.

If we follow the same logic of the "omg Capcom sucks because they keep releasing updates" haters, then it's definitely a dick move to keep releasing these old arcade ports. But of course, it's not cool to rip on that, so I guess I shouldn't.

:? Are you fucking serious?

People are getting annoyed because they payed for a full title (regardless of price) then Capcom expects us to keep buying more crap just to use features that should have been included in the game from the start. It wouldn't be such a problem if it was a cheap 5 dollar DLC.

That's why people are annoyed. People aren't hating on the game, people are hating on the bullshit company that made it.

Still, there are only 2 or 3 posts on this entire thread about Capcoms bullshit. How is that everybody?

Again, its not because they're updating the game. Its because they're charging an arm and a leg for it. They're making it so you have to buy the new version of the game to use features that you should have gotten in the first place.

I don't know anybody that really likes them re-releasing the old arcade ports either. I think the only reason people want a new version of III is for online play and possibly HD graphics. If you're content without it, by all means buy another version for cheap. People are only upset because they just payed for a new game, then a month later, Capcom tells them that they aren't allowed to play their game online anymore and to buy the update.

You can cry budget game all you want, that doesn't change the fact that it's a bullshit business practice.

I'm confused by this. What are these locked out features?

Not locked out. Ugh. I'm sorry I have caught a nasty case of the flu, and I'm not really thinking all that straight right now. I had a hell of a migraine when typing that. Time to do some editing.

I'm still confused by your post. What part of buying SSFIV isn't optional, and how has Capcom made it so you have to buy a new version of the game to use features you paid for already?

I'm not trying to argue, I just don't follow.

I'm sorry, I keep rereading my post and wondering how the fuck I wrote something like that.

Anyway, no, they don't make you buy the new game. SSFIV, should have just been the final game though. They basically gave a huge middle finger to anybody that bought the original game. Instead of releasing it as a free update as they should have, as there was so much wrong with the original, they decide to make a few bucks.

Anyway, I'm done. I need to get better before I can try to argue with people. I wasn't so much annoyed about the game. I'm just pissed off at Capcom's bullshit business practices, they've pulled this before and I got suckered into it. I just can't stand when people try to defend that sort of behavior.

I have a better idea. How about Street Fighter Alpha 4 where every character is one of the Dolls.

I'm not trying to disrespect anyone, but dude, wake up and smell the coffee :p That's just how the gaming industry works these days. This kind of stuff makes crap tons of money, and no matter how badly people are against it, it still keeps selling enough to keep on making it interesting.

I just find it very amusing to see how people keep pointing the finger exclusively to Capcom. I don't see how Namco shouldn't get a good piece of the critique, since they actually started locking downloadable characters on the disc etc. with Soulcalibur IV.

Anywho, to each their own I guess. I'll definitely buy it, fingers crossed it won't be too expensive.

No disrespect taken. I know its how the industry works now. I don't have to like it though. I've smelt the coffee... and it smells of shit.
