I love the second game but the first one seriously doesn't do much for me, and yes I did play it before playing the second, lol. Everytime it felt like the platforming was getting fun, bam more boring gun fights with awkward controls and the same 3 guns over and over!
I felt this way about the first Uncharted game as well. The shooting sequences were really a detriment in my opinion, especially since it would be wave after fucking wave of people. I'm not some hotshot skill shooter, so I had to start punching people in the face while fifty of his buddies shot me several new assholes. Even when I was getting headshots, I'd run out of ammo fast.
Yeah, the first Uncharted certainly wasn't a classic. Naughty Dog always has a rough start whenever they begin a new series.

Dear GOD why! Why did I buy this game? Oh yeah, the shop I got my DS from, 1 week after launch, didn't have Super Mario 64DS (which sucked as well though, just not as bad as this one).

This game was horrible. It is good/passable on consoles with control sticks, but playing this game with the touch screen, OMG.

Also the PSP console. The only game worthwhile on it, was Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles, so I could play the port of Symphony of the Night it had.

What about the Megaman X collection for gamecube? I have that and didn't notice anything wrong. I haven't played it in a while though.

By new do you mean when they first came out? In that case, I've never bought a new game and regretted it. Then again, I rarely by games when their new. The only ones that come to mind are Pokemon Ruby, Modern Warfare 2, the Lego Star Wars games, and Kingdom Hearts birth by sleep. I have no regrets.

I mean more or less close to the launch window, at full original launch price.
