Dang, kind of convincing me to finally check out the Oracle games too. Still haven't gotten around to them actually, despite loving the overhead Zelda's to death.

Also funny that I've actually never played Link's Awakening DX, as I've only played the original version several times. I still can't believe how impressive that game is technically, it really pushed the GB to its limits. Some awesome unique stuff like the jumping feather made for a lot of interesting puzzles, and heck every dungeon had its own theme! Didn't even get that in LTTP or anything. Amazing game.

honestly, the handheld Zelda's all feel like little sequels to LTTP. Which is a good thing.

That's kind of the feeling I'm getting now that I am finally going through and playing the oracle games for the first time. I honestly do not have even half this much fun with the post SNES home console entries for the series.

...except for 4 Swords Adventures, of course. That game is like Zelda on crack.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'll basically agree. Though I adore Wind Waker, the handheld games are the best for post-SNES action.

I just beat Links Awakening DX and thought it was a great game. Had the game for a while and figured I should just play the darn thing.

I also drew up the overworld map and a grid like system for the dungeons. Had a blast doing it too.
