The characters made my skin crawl, the fighting system was boring, every area was a glorified tunnel...
My complaints about the game aren't any different from other people who didn't like it really. The fact remains though, that I dropped 60 bucks on the damn thing and seriously regret it. I never got past the first disc. The game just did nothing for me.
Its time I got around to selling it, because I'm sure as hell not gonna play it again.
No wonder you hated the game! The 1st half of the games pretty much sucks. But the 2nd half of the game is great. The characters stop sucking, the areas stop becoming long narrow hall ways, and it just becomes a overall better game.
Saints Row 2 for PS3.
I just can't get over how shit this game was. The graphics were last generation, the story was stupid, the gameplay was repetitive. I really hated how you had to do all those dumb mini games just to unlock new missions. Spraying shit on stuff is funny the first time, after that it just gets annoying because you have to keep on doing it.
After all that the game save glitched on me and wouldn't let me progress, meaning I would have to start again. Needless to say, I didn't bother.
Two immediately come to mind. The first is Worms: Reloaded, the most recent one. Shit was completely unplayable. The other was Dragonball Z: Legacy of Goku. I didn't know it was possible for a game to be this bad. Either Goku had six HP and could only fly 4 spaces, or you used the invincibility code and trivialized everything. The second one was surprisingly an improvement though.

Resident Evil 5. I loved every game in that series (well the core games, lets not talk about Survivor) but everything about this one was off. Took place during the day, had a partner that used all your health packs, and it was basically a mediocre action game instead of survival horror. Would have been fine if I paid 20.00 but not 60.00 dollars.

I loved FFXIII and MvC3.
I would probably say the only game I've really regretted buying was FIFA 10. It's a great game, I just greatly overestimated how much soccer I would really wanna play. And I bought it pretty soon after it came out, so it was pricey.
I dodged a bullet with Little Big Planet 2. A friend lent it to me. I was really disappointed in it. Which is not to say that it's not great, too. But the story mode wasn't anywhere near as well-designed or fun as the original game. I felt like it took on way too much, instead of just being a really fun platformer.
I'm not a fan of hand-helds to begin with, but all my friends at the time had one and loved it so I gave in to peer-pressure and bought one. I only ever got Animal Crossing: Wild World for it and quickly lost interest in that. I didn't get one immediately after it was released - but I still wasted a chunk on it.
I regretted buying a Dreamcast after it tanked, but looking back I'm glad I had the chance to experience it and plus at the time I REALLY liked playing a 3D Sonic game.
