How is it? It's pretty much at the top of my need to play list of shumps.

It's awesome! I can't decide between Gradius Gaiden and V for my favourite Gradius game. I found V to be a bit easier, only because Gaiden basically rapes you in the last few levels.

There is sort of an interesting storyline in Gradius V that you need to play in order to get the most out of it. It is very unique and cool for a shoot 'em up. It is DEFINITELY worth getting, and it isn't too expensive either. Easily one of the best shoot 'em ups out there, including Radiant Silvergun and the like. Heck, they're made by the same guys anyway (Treasure)!

Ummm.... that is what a lot of them cost in Japan anyway... Get used to it.

There's no secret, that is simply what they cost - you can find them on the forums and most guys will be bout' 10% lower than ebay from a simple "no fee" angle - but thats about it.

On a rare occasion, you can catch one at auction on ebay if someone just doesn't know what they have and they forget to use the words SATURN, JP, JAPAN and IMPORT. Something like "Hiper dual vid gam saga satrun" and then just hope no one else stumbles across it. Other than that, you get what you pay for.

I am ok with the prices I just hate paying $15 for EMS shipping on one game. Normally I try to find a seller with at least a few items I want so I can save on the shipping.

I was mostly looking to see if anyone had any obscure U.S. sites I hadn't stumbled across yet.

Just played this yesterday for the first time. Good lord is this game sweet.

One weird thing though, my Duo is outputting much lower sound than any other system I have, including the core tg16. The Av's seem to be fine, and if I turn my tv up to max it sounds pretty good, but its still kinda frustrating.

Speaking of sound, I think Lords of Thunder may have my favorite sound track for a shmup (which is saying a lot)

I still have to try out Terraforming and Air Zonk xD

If it's a black Duo you need to replace your caps. It is a very common problem. Go to the PCEngineFX.com forums, there are tutorials on there with cap diagrams and people who offer this service
It's worth fixing, some of the sweetest tunes are on the Turbo
