1. What emus are you using?
2. Of course the PC emulators are going to be better. They're on more powerful hardware.

I'm surprised by your comments. I found the PSP emulators to be the best of any handheld. I've used Masterboy a lot for Gameboy color games, SNES TTYL for SNES games, Picodrive for some Genesis games, GBA SP Kai for GBA games. Popstation for PS1 games.

It really is the best portable emulator you can get other than your laptop.

yea i have tried emulation on the DSlite and PSP

=DS can handle NES games okay but glitches and lag a bit on the SNES
=PSP definilty seems to be better for emulations in terms of handheld esp with widescreen.
=Iphone i heard its pretty good but thats just from word of mouth and not 1st hand exp.

The DS can handle Game Gear and all Game Boy stuff perfectly. SNES on the PSP has just enough lag to annoy me.

QFT, SNES is deffinately playable, but if you want perfect, PC is the route to go. To my knowledge, no handheld can emulate SNES perfectly. But for anything older (NES, GB, GBC, some GBA, PCE and GEN) it works perfectly.
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

I've had no issues emulating GB, GBC, GBA on my PSP.

NES seems good. Genesis no problems. TG16 seems good. I haven't really tried SMS. Had no luck with SCD. C64 and Coleco are rock solid. PS1 works.

No, I don't think the emu's suck.

I've only tried Genesis and Snes so far.

DGen has some odd problems for Genesis, but Picodrive is absolutely flawless.

Snes games have some problems, that seem to vary by the game. I'll be trying more soon.

I'm really enjoying it though. For me the Genesis emulation alone makes it totally worth it.

I love emu on the PSP. It's like an all in one option for portable games (except DS) plus some great console games.

True, SNES isn't perfect, but it gets the job done, especially if you're willing to do a bit of tweaking with the options.
Also, I use 3 or 4 versions of the SNES emulator and it seems like some games play better with each one.

N64 is even worse, but it is still good for a few games (Doom 64, Smash Bros, F-Zero). But you've got to realize that it's very limited compared to PCs.

Anyways, the PSP is still the best portable for emus IMO.

That's too bad; it might have something to do with the format you have it in. I put Keio Flying Squadron on my PSP and it plays fine with picodrive (I think you need to make a "cue" file with Segacuemaker and have the iso and mp3 files named appropriately).
...just another lost soul...

I don't think there's a good N64 emulator on any platform except for the one bundled with each Wii N64 VC game.

I've tried using it on the PC a few times but couldn't deal with the many graphical glitches.
