Not to mention that piracy is not going away. Legislating and enforcement have failed, and if piracy is truly a problem for the games industry (not to mention other industries), they'd better find a more suitable business model.

Finally something I can agree with!

Both the hackers and Sony are in the wrong, they're doing the same thing for opposite reasons - trying to deny users access to features on the consoles they rightfully paid for.

AHEM. Hackers != Anonymous. They are script kiddies (AT BEST). DO NOT lump hackers in with those fucking amateurs. The real hackers are providing utilities that make the systems better than they were when they were closed systems at ZERO extra cost. They NEVER took away features. Only added them. Sony haven't added a feature to the PS3 since fucking firmware 3.1, only incrementally removed them.

I meant the 'hackers' referred to in the topic title.

Y'know, right up there, where it says "Hackers trying to take down PSN".

Lol, typical Sony. They try to insult Nintendo but end up insulting themselves instead. How embarrassing for them. Fuck you, Sony.

I think we can all agree that he has absolutely no connection with reality.

I agree. I simply wouldn't have a 3DS for other reasons. It's a huge disappointment on almost every level, not to mention I can't see the 3D anyway.

That said I'm not all that excited for the NGP either. I'll just happily carry on with the PSP.

"If you're really going to sustain technology for a decade, you have to be cutting edge when you launch a platform,"
How's that working for the PSP ($250 at launch) and the PS3 ($600 at launch)?

It wasn't exactly a strong six years either.
