Doesn't lag depend on the quality of TV? I assume it would be worse on a Wal-mart HDTV than a Sony. I must say I've never had a lag problem on my small Sony Bravia.
Anyway, I do prefer the look of any system older than the Dreamcast on a CRT rather than HDTV. Things like a Saturn or MAME gaming just don't look right...very crisp and colorful, but too much detail. It's like watching SD television shows on a HDTV, it usually ends up looking pixellated.
What will we retro gamers do when CRTs are no longer available?

I agree with you man. I just couldn't stand seeing my Saturn, Genesis, and Turbo Duo games on my LCD anymore. They look like butt. CRT is great but isn't an option for me because they are just too bulky. I finally drop the ball and ordered myself an XRGB-2 Plus and some SCART connections. Hopefully they will come next week. One of the moderator I spoke to said it will make a lot of difference. I just hope so or else I will just have wasted 250 dollars for nothing.megadethdrumfire wrote:i dont care what anyone says! Any standard def system looks better on a sdtv .. HDtvs make every thing look really fuzzy and pixelly ..
