If you dont have a key, try using the gun on the lock. Half the doors need shot open, the other half need keys. The logic to it seems to be if its quiet, you can shoot.

opened the safe, got the IOU and the 4th key, but no clear indication of where I want to head next...

Maybe you did things in a different order, or I'm just remembering things wrong.


On the other hand, it took me like 2 and a half hours, some time of which was spent wondering where to go next.

I have not cured my memory loss. Apparently I did do things in a different order than you?
