I keep hoping that maybe EA will announce a downloadable "Tournament Edition" with tag mode and a few other goodies, like the obvious roster updates and such that people want on the PS3 and 360 versions. But I dunno.. this is EA we're talking about here. They never fail to disappoint me

Oh wow... did somebody from EA read my post on here? LOL!
Looks like there is a new downloadable NBA Jam coming this October titled "NBA Jam: On Fire Edition," AND YES... TAG MODE IS COMING BACK, along with the roster updates.

The only thing that sucks is October is so far away.
Also, no mention of a Wii version? Wow

Re: EA Sports bringing superior version of NBA Jam to 360/PS3
I just read the article yesterday about the new one coming out in October. I bought the current version for 360 the day it came it and I have never regretted the purchase. I play online against one of my old friends back home at least once a week.
I was ok with the price when it came out. I didn't even care about tag mode missing. We always turned it off on Genesis anyway.
I will probably buy the new version just because I love me some Jams but I don't really see why all of it couldn't be added in a DLC pack for $5-$8.
