Crysis 2...having played a few hours of it I'm going to have to say it's even more generic and tedious than the first two outings. Its faults are now more apparent considering it doesn't chiefly rely on visual flair to hide them.

I didn't think something like this was possible. Not too surprised to hear something like this though.Pulsar_t wrote:Crysis 2...having played a few hours of it I'm going to have to say it's even more generic and tedious than the first two outings.

Crysis 2 isn't going to change your opinion on the series, that's for sure.brunoafh wrote:I didn't think something like this was possible. Recently finished Medal of Honor. I'm very glad that I played it. If you play too many good games back to back then you'll forcefully gain higher expectations and if it continues for too long eventually no game will be able to satisfy you. That's why every once in a while its a good thing to play something that's as much of a stinking pile of horse crap like Medal of Honor. It helps keep everything is perspective. Quite honestly the only redeeming qualities of the game are the easy trophies and the fact that the game is mercifully short. I beat it in around 4 hours on the hardest difficulty.
Ironically the PS3 version comes with an updated port of Medal of Honor: Frontlines which is suppose to be a bonus and yet I'm only a few missions in and I can tell it's a much higher quality product than what was suppose to be the main attraction (Y'know, the game advertised on the front of the box). It has a wider variety of guns and a slight level of non-linearity to some of the missions that when combined with the need to find health packs and ammo actually encourages exploration in a mostly standard FPS. It's still not exactly what I would call a timeless classic but the difference in entertainment between the two is massive.

I just looked it up, sure looks strange. Like half a point and click game, and half an FPS.

Crysis 2 con the 360, if they are going to dumb down the graphics on the PC version I might as well play it on a console.

So is Crysis 2 worth the buy for Xbox 360? I was looking at it last weekend when I was at Play n Trade but I was affraid to drop $60 on it if it sucked. I'm assuming there's a Crysis 1? If so how is that?
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!
