Re: Street of Rage Remake version 5.0
I haven't transferred this over to my PC yet. Did they add more resolution options? Being stuck in 800x600 on a display that wouldn't pixel double with the previous version was the pits.
...I really need to pick up a Playstation to USB controller converter.

Re: Street of Rage Remake version 5.0
the movement d-pad buttons are grayed out by default, but the other buttons are editable. if the program is having issues reading your personal joypad then just reset your joypad (along with SORR) until the program reads it.Xeogred wrote:Did you figure out anything that could help my issue? Maybe you had the same thing too? (the movement buttons were grayed out when selecting my joypad)sevin0seven wrote:just tried the game and i must say this is the best SOR remix i've played! more better than version 4.0. the AI is more better (harder) and all the new enemies drawings are either hits and miss. the format of choosing a map (SOR1, SOR2, SORR, etc) is a plus. story telling has been upgraded with new drawings and dialogue. editing your controls can get frusting when hooking up a joypad, but once everything is set it's all solid from there. great job team bombergames
so far i haven't have any "crash" issue with the game.

Re: Streets of Rage Remake V5 Released!
No, it uses its own engine I think. Definitely not BoR.Anthony817 wrote:Ok, my first question is...
1. Is this based on the BOR engine?
and my next is...
2. Is this going to be available for Dreamcast?
I seriously doubt it. Was announced for Wii Homebrew Channel but nothing there yet.

That's probably right, but then it just simply doesn't work... when all the other buttons do. I tried both joysticks too but they didn't do anything either.MidnightRider wrote:I think the program just assumes you're going to use a d-pad or whatever as movement. Pretty sure it's grayed out for everyone.
One possibility would be to try to map the keyboard controls to your gamepad with this program: http://xpadder.en.malavida.com/

Re: Street of Rage Remake version 5.0
Well I'm using a USB adapter that can connect up to two PS2 controllers. I've been able to use it and customize everything in just about any emulator I've used it with and other stuff, but this suddenly gave me issues. Pretty weird.

i'm also using a USB adapter for PS2 (Smartjoy). just replug it in again until it reads the other button layouts. It didn't read mine at first but after a few tries, no more problem.Xeogred wrote:Well I'm using a USB adapter that can connect up to two PS2 controllers. I have a question: How is this a "Hacks and Mods" topic rather than, say, a "General Gaming" or "Fighting" (where beat em up discussion seemed to happen at one point
) topic?
It's a new game, not a modification of anything.

Re: Street of Rage Remake version 5.0
technically it is a hack since the author of the SORR took some sprites out of the originals. they even remaked SOR1 and SOR2 into the game, etc. BUT if i had modding powers i would definitely move this to the "Sega" or "Fighting" section to fit the bill... however two RB users did create this topic on those two section you mentioned earlier this week, so everything is coveredMidnightRider wrote:I have a question: How is this a "Hacks and Mods" topic rather than, say, a "General Gaming" or "Fighting" (where beat em up discussion seemed to happen at one point) topic?
