I'm trying to find an inexpensive(at least as much as possible) game controller for my sister who only has one hand. I saw this on amazon and wondered if anyone had this by any chance. And if so..could try it out with one hand. I have a feeling it only works with that game though...
Any system also.. it doesn't have to be wii. I'd honestly like to know if it worked with any of them.
And I know of the ben heck ps3/xbox one.. but thats 150 bucks. And she's much more into wii so 150 is kind of a lot for two systems she only plays at my house.
* I just realized most wii games probably need the motion stuff... so maybe ps3/xbox is a better route...

Can't you enjoy most Wii games with one hand already?
BananaXX's FS/FT Shop!!! +27 feedback and growing!!
Re: One handed gaming
Yeah, some motion control heavy Wii games would be a good bet.
You should probably look into the 360's Kinect too, since it's hands free all together. I have a disabled friend that absolutely loves it.

Re: One handed gaming
There are just so many games that need two hands that she would like to play is the problem. Like for instance her favorite game is uncharted, but she only watches because its too hard with one hand.
Maybe something helpful could be a list of one handed wii games or something. I figured most wii games would be, but all of them I have you have to use the nunchuck. Though I only just started buying wii games so I don't have many.

Re: One handed gaming
Do you have a Playstation or PS2?
If you do I highly recommend getting the Ascii Grip

They were originally created for one handed RPG play, but they have all the buttons and work well. The downfall is that you can not use them for game that rely solely on the analog sticks. I think they did make an Ascii Grip 2 that worked with analog based games, but I have never seen one and that makes me think that it is less common.
You should be able to find some used for around $15 or less.
Oh, they made and Ascii Grip for the SNES too.

Get an "ASCII Grip" or "Ascii Grip V2". You can get adapters for any system 'cause it's for PS1/2.

Re: One handed gaming
Well, I knew someone who lost use of one of his hands, and he played WoW a lot. The game is very playable with one hand, just no PvP, and it will take her more time to do stuff.
EDIT
actually, you know what. Most RPG/Adventure/Strategy games on PC are fulyl playable with one hand, so she can try some games on PC. I can give you names of some excellent adventure/strategy games if you'd like.
EDIT 2
Ok it's not a good idea to stay up late, be sleepy and answering to posts. You were asking for a game controller, and by the time I finished reading the previous answers I forgot it
.
Anyway still, the PC is a great platform for her.

AbleGamers.com should help you.
They review games according to several accessibility criteria (if they're playable by deaf, colorblind, one-handed and motor-impaired people).
