What are you listening to at the present? (genres helpful)

Another Coltrane fan here, reporting for duty.

Actually, not just Trane, but I love bebop in general. It's probably my favorite period of jazz, along with hardbop, swing, and fusion, but NEVER smooth jazz.

Demons & Wizards: Touched By The Crimson King Full Album

Absolutely amazing piece of metal mastery. These are seriously some of the most talented guys I have ever heard. Every song on the album is a masterpiece. These guys could be the next Iron Maiden.

Apparantly they consist of members of Blind Guardian and members of Iced Earth.

Trane's take on "My Favorite Things" is probably the finest piece of music ever recorded. Total fucking bliss.

People keep telling me to check Demons & Wizards out. It's on my to do list, but I've been checking out SOOOOOOO much music lately. Iced Earth gets compared to Iron Maiden a lot. However, as a huge Iced Earth fan I have never been that much into Maiden for some reason

I've been on a funk and disco kick all week, mostly thanks to Elite Beat Agents. Because of this, the two I've been listening to most are September by Earth, Wind & Fire and Canned Heat by Jamiroquai.

Been listening to the Sucker Punch soundtrack a lot lately. For me, the Emily Browning songs alone made the purchase worth it; she's amazing.
I would hope even people who hated the movie (see: most everyone, sadly) would be able to appreciate the soundtrack, cause it really is something else.

Also, anybody here use last.fm?
