I just heard about this game in passing in a video about difficult games. I came hear to see if anyone had heard of it. It's great to see you have a review of it here. This looks like a really interesting homebrew game, and it's cool to see it's on an actual NES cartridge.

Great review. I have watched a few Let's Plays on Youtube for Battle Kid and it looks like an excellent game.

I love the idea of making new games for old platforms like the NES. That said, I plan on buying a copy for myself, partly because I want to support Sivak and encourage him to make more NES games. Also because it looks like a good game that I wouldn't mind having in my collection. It's just a shame there is no box.

Just keep in mind this game is Battletoads level difficulty. It IS based on I Wanna Be The Guy, after all.

Battle Kid is awesome. The controls are very fluid and it's still challenging even when you know what to do, providing for more replayability.
It is indeed a test of patience, but you'll be satisfied when you reach the end!
