If you pee on them... they won't smell like cigarettes anymore... but they might smell like pee. :)

Am I the only one who actually likes the smell of cigarette smoke? And no, I don't smoke myself.

Ok, this is probably a stupid question, but what is "untreated charcoal" and how do you use it to remove the smell?

I don't know how effective it'd be on plastic permeated with smoke smells, but at work we have to carry emergency escape acid-gas respirators on us at all times. They're a large cylinder filled with tiny grains of activated charcoal and they'll actually purify any air sucked through them enough to save your life for a few minutes when in most types of poisonous environment we can be exposed to. The only thing I've ever used one for is getting rid of odors in a refrigerator. After the seal is broken it'll clear up any smell in the fridge in a few hours. It's more effective than most products on the market. I've opened a few up, and the stuff inside's really messy and sooty. I wouldn't recommend covering anything important in it, tho sealing a bunch in with something smelly would probably speed up the process of removing any smells.

"Untreated" usually refers to lump charcoal that has no additives and is in its purest form.

Your other question I don't have an answer to.

Apparently certain types of odor removing cat litter will do the trick too.

Only you would know this Para

For carts/discs that have any odors, windex on a paper towel works very well.

This will also work well on cardboard boxes that still have a sheen/clearcoat on them, and of course plastic DVD and CD style cases, however anything w/exposed paper it is very tough to fully get rid of the smell. If you have an aversion to cigarrette smoke like I do - I simply get rid of it rather than have it infect my other goods.
