PS3 and my computer?
PS3 and my computer?
How can I get my PS3 to like acess my music on computer and stuff? When my computer is on, the PS3 sees it because it says media servers...what do I need to do on the computer end?
Re: PS3 and my computer?
You can run a media server on your PC, share the appropriate folders from within the software, and browse the shares from the appropriate tab in the PS3 XMB.
The one I like to use is PS3 media server. http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/
It works fairly well with little configuration and will transcode most video files (as long as you have a beefy enough PC), for music, it should stream those with no problem as long as you aren't trying to play DRM enabled files like itunes purchases.
