Just got first-hand experience with MvC3... and felt really really REALLY old.

First off, at the demo I sat there blankly at the 360 menu for a few minutes RTFM before someone showed me how to sync the controller. Second, onlookers were asking what kind of combo I was trying to chain in training mode. Third, the crowd that gathered were offering insight on the pros and cons of the characters I had chosen while simultaneously trying to counsel how to string mid-air tag-combos.

I'm hoping I take to this control scheme as quickly as I did to the original MvC (specifically with more TvC time). The game looks great, plays quickly, though is still as gameplay-broken as MvC2. (Yay Storm and Sentinel combos.)

It's no where near as broken as MvC2. In this one, EVERY character is capable of combos that take anywhere from 70-250% health away. I'd also say Storm and Sentinel have nothing on characters like Wesker, Dante or Phoenix.

Well, I just started playing after an extended hiatus thanks to my roommate taking over my PS3 the past few days to play Borderlands, and now I suck. Like, completely and utterly suck. I think I won 2 matches out of all the ones I played tonight. It's frustrating as hell, knowing that just two days without practice leaves you WORSE than when you first picked up the game.

%100+ damage? On the lowest damage settings? Without resorting to X-Factor? I suppose it helps that Storm still requires timing to combo (though she is just as annoying playing keep-away or lightning rush) and Sentinel needs to be unlocked.

Well, had some good matches with the7k this afternoon. Think the score was 6-10, with me on the losing end. He's pretty good, and I'm just glad I was able to put up a good fight. Hoping to play more of you since the weekends hitting tomorrow. Or maybe we can get a lobby going. I just hope that, if we do, the lobby's won't be totally dull.
