**spoiler** I got this game in my collection and I am at the part in the early stages where you just rescue Deedlit from the goblins.

It's been a month and a half, I havnt had time to play. It seems pretty solid, its overwhelming the continuous respawn of them birds in that cave though, make its hard to go anywhere fast. BIG dungeons so far. This game made be buy the full anime series + OVA series. :) I liked the anime alot.

I finished this game a few days back. I killed both the dragons, and the only rewards are ~30k mithrill for the black, and ~50k mithrill for the green. The pieces or armor/swords were not auto-completed, nor did I receive any special items. Oh well, I guess it's bragging rights.

I went ahead and held off fighting the green dragon (again) until I had the multipliers maxed out. I just wanted to see how much damage I could do. Well, I got my swings up to ~3.2 million damage each, and I was *almost* able to two-shot the green dragon. When I killed it the first time, I was only doing ~90k per swing.

I ended up maxing out all of the various abilities, and finished all there is that I found in the game. I guess I could have farmed the cold caves a bit more for better accessories, but I figured I had played enough, so I called it quits.

After the initial annoyance of the cold caves (they get easier on each run), the game is very enjoyable all around. If you want a great hack and slash with heavy RPG elements, this is the game for you.

Ok, I'm bringing up an old thread to ask some advise.

I just started playing this game and have the 10,000 mithrill to make the oriental sword. I now have to decide to use this special sword without a shield or just refine it and continue using the one handed sword/shield combo.

What option did you (all who have beat or played the game) choose?

You know, I think I stuck with 2 handers for the damage. Plus, upgrade a weapon to a certain point, and it'll wipe the floor with whatever you're going up against, especially if it's a particular type.

Unfortunately I don't really remember that much anymore about how I played the game. It's been a long time.

Get the oriental sword for sure and then bump it up as much as you can. Offensive has much more pull than defensive in this game as far as I'm concerned. The health potions are easy to keep in abundance anyway.

I'd definitely go with the Oriental sword at that point. Upgrade your crit and you'll be doing massive amounts of damage. I honestly didn't put much thought into defense until the Cold Caves. Just grab armor bonuses as needed. The inscriptions or other items should help with getting knocked down less for most of the game.

I tried to kill the boss of most of the dungeons as soon as I had access to them. While this wasn't always possible, it did increase the difficulty of the game quite a bit. So if you want an easy play through, fight the tougher dungeons after you have made a few Cold Caves runs.

I really enjoyed this game. It's a great hack 'n slash, in my opinion. Fans of Diablo will not be disappointed.
