I finally got my game rig to a presentable state and decided it was time to show it here. My wife and I live in a 1 bedroom apartment so all of my games and consoles are in the living room. She doesn't mind though, as long as we play Dr. Mario and Super Mario Bros. 3 every once in a while.

Don't worry, I don't play the 360 with the PS3 sitting on top of it. I plan on getting couple of monitor stand/shelves to give systems on both sides proper ventilation. For now I just move the PS3 to play. Not very elegant, I know, but it's only temporary.

I won the Virtual Boy back in the day from a GameFan magazine art contest.

I got the controller cubie idea from other's game rooms here on racketboy.com. Works great!

My Japanese dark blue DS lite (plays all regions) and PSP 3000.

These 3 consoles are not hooked up at the moment. They are a Saturn dev unit, Japanese Dreamcast and Atari Jaguar. The game studio I used to work at gave the Saturn dev unit away for free! I imported the Japanese Dreamcast when it came out because I was so excited I couldn't wait until it came out in the US.

These are the only system/accessories boxes I have anymore. Once upon a time when I was younger I kept every box for all my games and systems. Then, for some idiotic reason, when I was in college I recycled all of them to save storage space. Dumbest thing I've ever done.

My Virtual Boy enjoys a nice view of the Downtown Seattle skyline and bits of Puget Sound.

And here's my game collection. I need better game storage but new media shelves should be coming soon. I used to have a better PS1 collection, but I think I ended up trading them when I was younger. I also had a bigger NES collection but I gave it all to a friend a long time ago. I've been rebuilding the collection for a while now. I need to travel back in time and tell my younger self to *never get rid of anything*.

The Saturn games without boxes are Shinobi Legions, Sega Rally and Astal.

I recently won the 60+ 3DO games in an auction. No long boxes and more than half are disc only, but I got the whole package for a great deal. In the collection are most of the must haves including Star Control II, Gex, Wing Commander III, etc.

My GameBoy systems and games + the only two Virtual Boy games I own. I used to have a better GameBoy game collection and better games (Ninja Gaiden, Zelda, etc) but like I said above, I've given away and traded way too many games in the past. Now excuse me while I continue to kick myself...

Here are my Atari 2600 games. I will have them out with the other games when I have more shelf space.

These are games that I've worked on at Griptonite Games studio. I did a variety of art assets, with a focus on character design, models, animation, etc. The last three games in the photo I was lead artist on. This photo is missing Sims Bustin' Out GBA (the first game I ever worked on!) and two other games I was lead artist on; Spore Creatures DS and an upcoming PS3/360/Wii game that will be coming out later this year.

I recently left the depressing licensed game industry and am now working at an indie game studio. Publishers are real nasty to licensed game studios and give them barely any money, not enough time, and not much design control. It's amazing we made decent games at all. Assassin's Creed II: Discovery on DS was made in 3 months!
Anyway, that's my game collection as it is today. It is ever growing so I may update this post later when I get nicer media shelves. Let me know what you think.
