Re: Favourite control scheme for FPS games
Default (dual joystick) I guess? The odd thing is I have to play inverted on consoles, but non-inverted on PC. I also find myself maxing out the sensitivity on a lot of console FPS's nowadays and put it pretty high up on the PC too.
As for a potential console vs PC argument, I gotta say it boils down to the actual game for me. Like even if I had a lot of fun with Halo CE, I still think Halo feels right with a controller. Something like Half-Life 2 on the other hand, feels a lot better with a mouse and keyboard for me.

I can adjust to the buttons but aiming must always be set to inverted

Re: Favourite control scheme for FPS games
I, like most people, prefer a dual-analog setup for console FPS gaming, but I have found that motion controls, if skillfully implemented, can be superior to even a keyboard and mouse.

I like the Doom/Wolfenstein control scheme. When you see an enemy just aim in their general direction and fire away.
Also, I like Renegade Kid's DS First person shooters. The touch screen controls are excellent and smooth.

Ryvius I'm exactly the same. On all my console FPS's, I press up to look down and down to look up, but that just feels weird with a mouse to me.
Not that I really play many console FPS's anyway. I always pick the Mac version if its available.

Older. Not wiser.

I like dual analog.
I can play mouse and keyboard, but I will forever think it feels awkward.
I never invert the axis though.

I'm a mouse and keyboard fan, and in general I avoid console FPS because playing on a controller just doesn't feel natural to me. PC FPS is the way to go for me.
