2011: The Year of the Action-RPG

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I am way excited about a few games coming out this year that are action-RPG. I'm gonna go broke and lose some social status this year I think.

Serioiusly, all of these, this year:

-Dark Souls (Demon's Soul 2)
-Diablo III
-Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale
-Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
-Kingdoms of Amalur
-The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (well it says TBA 2011, but I bet it gets pushed to 2012)
-Neverwinter (Neverwinter Nights 3)

Anyone else excited about these?

I can't wait for Skyward Sword, since I've been in a Zelda kick lately.

I've heard that Dead Island Zombie game is an action RPG as well. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

One of the games on your list most likely isn't getting released this year knowing Blizzard and another one isn't an RPG but I see your point and agree that there are quite a few action RPG's coming out.

I'm hoping Zelda comes out this year. Looking forward to that.

Beyond that, I'm gonna be in hell at the end of the year when Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 both come out.

I don't know how the hell I'm gonna choose which one to play first.

I didn't know they were making Neverwinter Nights 3. Who's developing it? Not Bioware I'm sure.

Just heard about Kingdoms of Amalur, as well. Seems some guys that worked on Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, as well as the art direction of Todd McFarlane (Creator of Spawn & Angela and co-creator of Venom), and the fantasy-driven storytelling of R.A. Salvatore are all coming together on this one.



Sounds cool to me. I'm adding it to the above list.

I like action-rpgs, but sadly, nothing on that list has my interest. Hopefully, there will be other games that will come out as well
