Anyone excited for the RE:4 and RE:CV HD remakes for 360:PS3

I'm not excited at all. I tried the first Resident Evil on the DS. Hated it. Tried the 2nd one on N64. Hated that too. I heard great things about RE4 and how it controls better, but I am wary of the franchise.

You haven't played 4?

I'd say give 4 a shot, that'll either change your thoughts on the series as a whole, or completely bury it for you.

Already have RE4 on Wii with component and RECV on Dreamcast with VGA. All I need for eyecandy.

I hate to be on the fence about this though, because I AM a fan of these installments (well Code Veronica not so much but it was worth the playthrough). But I feel like in these cases especially with RE4, that last gen grain and limitations lend itself perfectly to the game and its atmosphere giving it more charm. So, I might pass these up. Maybe get them in the bargain bin someday. When RE5 gets 3D/HDx2 Remastered on the Xbox 720, PS4, and Wii U though, I'll pass that up with no hesitation.

Excited??? Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. But eventually I'll probably buy the PS3 version as I like the Wii Edition best but the GFX will be pretty weak when ever I have to move it to the HDTV. If the PS3 version supports MOVE I guess it could potentially take over as the best version.

I don't know, I have these already and I was just playing through Code Veronica on my Ps2 and Gamecube comparing them both with s-video and really do they need to look better? I think the gamecube versions of both these games look great.

Hd and trophies? That's it? Only way for me to get them is if they kept secrets from us untill the week before release and then they popped us with play as 15 different characters, 20 new weapons, over an hour of new cut scenes, Added plotlines, and 4 new levels for each game!

But that is never going to happen!

Resident Evil will never return to what it was before RE 4.
