Apparently Randy did a recent interview where he said that The Rock has people writing his material for him:

http://espn.go.com/espn/thelife/videoga ... =fullstory

What a douschebag Randy is. Throwing a fellow wrestler under the bus like that. I don't know if there is any truth to what he supposedly said, but even if there is, what business is it of his to tell everyone? It certainly isn't good for the company tearing down the guest host of Mania like that and just makes him seem like a jealous asshole. Apparently, he had a lot of good stuff to say about Cena...no surprise there. Guess he's another one of Cena's boys. Seems like a lot of people are trying to tear the Rock down since he came back. I see a lot of green eyed monsters around

Maybe all this stuff is just a work, planting seeds for a major Cena/Rock showdown at some point. Maybe I just need to stay away from this off camera stuff. Sometimes the more you know about performers personally, the harder it becomes to enjoy the show

If it's for real, than yeah, douchebag move. But I'd be willing to be that it's a set-up for a future Orton vs. Rock feud. He is the Legend Killer, and I sure would LOVE to see a Orton vs. Rock match. A lot of stuff in wrestling the last few years has started in a viral fashion, rumors being spread over the internet, etc. So it could just be a set-up.

My work is funded by the State of California, so I have the day off today for Cesar Chavez Day. I took a few hours today and popped in WWF Wrestlemania 2000 today. Pretty dang good. I don't understand why it's considered by many fans as a week Wrestlemania.

I re-watched 3 of the greatest matches I've ever seen, and puts today's WWE to shame:

-The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz (Defending Champions) vs. Edge & Christian in a 3-way No DQ Ladder Match for the WWF Tag Team Championships
Winner = Edge & Christian

-The Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle (Defending Champion for both Championships) vs. Y2J Chris Jericho vs. Chris "The Canadian Crippler" Benoit for the WWF Intercontinental and the WWF European Championship
Winner of WWF Intercontinental Championship = Chris "The Canadian Crippler" Benoit
Winner of WWF European Championship = Y2J Chris Jericho

-Mick Foley w/Linda McMahon in his corner vs. The Rock w/Vince McMahon in his corner vs. The Big Show w/Shane McMahon in his corner vs. Triple H (Defending Champion) w/Stephanie McMahon in his corner in a NO DQ Fatal Four-Way for the WWF Championship
Winner = Triple H

Great show! Wouldn't be great if this year's Wrestlemania was as good?

Will he be there to be Tombstoned/Chockeslammed again? We can only hope...

Say what you will about John Cena, (I'm no fan Cenation either,) but Cena has granted over 200 wishes for kids in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. As far as I know, only Hogan can claim the same accolade..

Randy is like that in general. He's the reason why Kofi's push was put to a halt back a while back because Kofi botched the finish of the match. Randy apparently was very angry as a result, even calling him stupid repeatedly at the end of the match. Because of this guy, Kofi isn't in the main event scene. Kofi's one of the guys who was going to be properly built up instead of forced like Sheamus. I'll never forgive Orton for deliberately ending Kofi's push. Also, Orton not only talked about The Rock in a disparaging manner. He also said this about Cena:

"That respect I earned from the fans as a bad guy, I don’t want to lose that. And if all of a sudden I’m coming out and I’m trying to be like John Cena, that typical white meat babyface, kissing babies, hugging grandmas, slapping high-five swith everybody in the front row, that’s not going to work."

That quote might not be as harsh but still proves my point about talking down about other people. Like I said, he's an ass general. Also, I've been watching WWF/WWE since 98. Perhaps I should've bothered posting sooner in this thread but I don't come on here as much as I should. :) I've been waiting for The Rock to return and Raw's been getting better and better. What I don't like is how he's being disrespected by some of the talent due to jealousy. It's pretty immature if you ask me. I don't believe Randy's statement has any merit. I'm pretty sure Rock doesn't have things written for him. I also heard that he even denied certain scripts he was handed back in the day since he didn't believe they would work. I can tell by the way he talks is much different than the other superstars. It seems more on the fly.
What a maneuver!

I had heard lots of bad stuff about Randy years ago, but I thought he'd grown up and matured since that. Guess I was wrong

I don't get the hate for the Rock by some wrestlers. The guy has paid his dues. He was a big part of the WWE's attitude era popularity, he even had the WWE's second biggest show named after him which says a lot about his importance to the company and pop culture in general. Even non-wrestling fans know some of his catch phrases. And how many times did he put over guys like Triple H? Those guys used to feud constantly, with him usually on the losing end.

When I hear people like Cena and Orton complain that the Rock was off doing movies while they were travelling around doing house shows and showing up on Raw and Smackdown every day for years, I think to myself, what the hell do you guys think the Rock was doing back when both of you were nobodies?

Like I said, he's paid his dues. That earns him the right to do whatever he wants with his life and the right to be welcomed back into the WWE anytime he wants to come back. Orton and Cena even today STILL haven't matched the Rock's accomplishments and Cena in particular should show a little respect to one of the guys that paved the road for him. Think about how much Cena does that is similar to the stuff Rock did as a babyface. The jokes, the catchphrases(like you can't see me), that little five knuckle shuffle he does which is SOOOOOO much like the people's elbow.

Sigh, I digress. I do respect Cena working with the make a wish foundation, but that doesn't earn him a pass from everything else I dislike about him. Cena thinks waaaaaay too highly of himself and Orton too it seems. Funny how Cena likes to just ignore the Cena sucks chants he has been getting throughout his career instead of asking himself why he gets them and maybe doing something about it

WWE held a meeting yesterday (3-31-11) where the subject was no longer being called World Wrestling Entertainment due to the desire to eliminate the word "wrestling" from the product. The company would just be known as "WWE."
...sigh. :|

Brian Christopher, known to WWE fans as Grandmaster Sexay, was hospitalized today with pancreatitis.

He will have to have surgery to remove his gall bladder.

WOW! Great Impact! I'm speechless. After weeks and weeks of disappointment I was at the point where I was about to give up hope for TNA and then they go and give us this. Thank you TNA!

This is how wrestling should be: Promos were short and sweet but had impact, lots of action, good matches and a good amount of them, unpredictability, and the return of an old favorite in Christopher Daniels as well as the reunion of The British Invasion! Great opening, mid-show battle, and main-event. Good match between Generation Me. I'm loving the return of Scott Steiner. And who says Sting is an old man? He was keeping up with the young pups just fine, just like I've been saying. Even the Knockouts segments were entertaining, which is amazing.

However, The Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett thing really is stupid and needs to stop already.

I REALLY hope this is the new direction of TNA and not just some fluke. All I'd want is the X-Division to return full-force.
