I bought both a Genesis Model 1 and Sega CD Model 1 together from Vintage stock about a year ago. Something I always wondered though. I have a 1602 and a 1602-1. I assumed the 1602 went to the Sega CD because the specs match the bottom of the Sega CD, but the specs of the 1602-1 don't match either one of them. Is it okay if I use the 1602-1 on my Genesis still? And if not, what the heck was this one supposed to be for? I read somewhere that the 1602-1 came with some of the later Genesis Model 1's, and I do have the one that doesn't have the "HD Graphics" thing at the top.
For your reference, the 1602's specs are the following:
Input: 120V AC 60 hz 35W
Output: 9V DC 1.2 A
1602-1's specs are:
Input: 120V AC 60 hz 20W
Output: 10V DC 1.2 A
