You've seen the hands-on videos, you've read the game reviews, so why is it that no one's thought to put the Nintendo 3DS in a microwave and tap "add 30 seconds"?

Wonder no more. This enterprising user plucked his 3DS out of a box wearing rubber gloves, dropped it in a microwave, and set the timer to 99 minutes, 96 seconds. (Is 99:96 some kind of special code to activate a "stupid human tricks" sleeper cell?)

"DO NOT attempt," reads the disclaimer. As if we needed telling.

Watching a brand new $250 3DS screech and howl and billow clouds of smoke before bursting into flames really is as painful to watch as it sounds. Also: Eminently clickable. Because a video titled "Donating My New Nintendo 3DS To Charity Right Out Of The Box" would probably creep by completely unnoticed.

I really find this kind of thing quite sad. That money could have been better spent on a worthwhile charity.

This idea of breaking something new like wii,ps3,dses, etc...its really stupid.

What are they really trying to prove to people?
Are they really in deed that desperate for attention?

I hear about this, but never had the interest to actually go on youtube or their sites to actually watch them destroy something.

Its just appalling and dumb to me.

If the guy felt it was worth it to spend $250 to get whatever attention he has gotten, let him.

If we start talking about how people shouldn't spend their money the way they do and instead donate it to charity...well, I'm sure there are a lot of people who would say the same about us and our retro gaming habits.

My god his voice is annoying. You know the only reason he microwaved it is because his mom bought him two of them.
