A Scammer Asks - Do You Still Own a Dreamcast?

Post by PacoDG »

See http://www.dreamcast.com

Sign up now.

For what? I have no clue. But it is pretty official (so it seems).

Seganerds had something on this, I am a retard and put in a screen name instead of serial number (it just had S/N.. how was I supposed to know). I have to find where one of my two Dreamcasts are so I can get in and see what this is all about. I figured if anyone needs to know about this, it is Racketboy and company (company = you!.. now sign up!)

According to Kotaku, you get an email address if you register your Dreamcast on it.

"Due the high volume of account requests, the service will be temporally suspended."

Can people outside of the States sign up? Really want to be a part of this.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

First off, why the hell would SEGA do something for the Dreamcast? Also, the site has adds at the bottom for sega direct, which is completely pointless since it is closing at the end of March and you haven't been able to make a new account since January. Why would they have you register your serial number for an gmail email account that just has @dreamcast.com at the end?

With the serial numbers the scammer will be able to create a machine that will eat all of the DC's in the world forever ridding us of our joy and happiness!!!! PURE EVIL!!!!

Seriously...even if this is a scam....what's the worst someone can do with your serial number?
