Re: What fighter are you currently playing?
yeah I guess my feeling is that it's a good game... but just so much wasted opportunity. You can't help but feel a bit cheated out of a great game.

Yeah, it had potential. By the way, you may get a kick out of this combo video.

Definitely some wasted opportunity, but I still find it to be a pretty entertaining game. Certainly not as bad as it's reputation. If the roster was a bit bigger, had more franchises represented, and you were able to switch grooves, it could have went past being average and possibly been great.
I really liked the inclusion of the Red Earth series, some great characters from a forgotten game. Morrigan's absence didn't bother me too much, she's in nearly every single Capcom crossover game as it is (this is really the only one I can think of that she's not in), and having Jedah in the game is pretty much pure awesome.

Neo Geo Battle Coliseum or Capcom Fighting Evolution....which one was the more successful of the two?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I don't know, I only have the case and manual for NGBC.
Re: What fighter are you currently playing?
NGBC, no contest.
Each of the characters was built (more or less) from the ground up to work with that game, so there wasn't any of that copy-pasta syndrome. Plus, it was 2-on-2 tag team battles. How the hell Capcom Fighting Evolution didn't have tag battles, considering Capcom popularized tag battles, is beyond me.

NGBC is a surprisingly solid fighting game that people dog for some reason. My biggest issue was that it didn't feel very SNK. It felt more like a Capcom fighting engine, which may be a positive for some.

Yeah, I never understood the hate for NGBC either. I preferred KOFXI, but NGBC was still a blast.
Re: What fighter are you currently playing?
I think the slowdown has a lot to do with the hate for NGBC. I own it and enjoy it, but I remember a lot of people giving it crap for that, especially on certain 3D stages where a lot was going on in the background.
