I really hope this super-hero craze ends soon. I think the idea well has run dry for most of the people putting these cash-grab films together (*crosses fingers that Nolan remains an exception*).

Also - it's a shame Tommy Lee Jones so often reprises his Fugitive role - he's quite a good actor, really. No Country for Old Men, Heaven and Earth, JFK - he's had some really excellent and diverse performances in much better films.

Other than October Sky, I see no "hits" in terms of directing Prowess from Johnston...though I suppose the direction of effects stuff in Jumanji and HISTK is decent...

Hey it looks better than the last Captain America movie. Hell it can't be as bad as Wolverine Origins. Wish they would have done a direct adaptation of the Wolverine Origins Mini Series that blew my mind the first time I read it.

I think it looks awesome. Much better than I expected actually. I really like the part where they burst in through the door and he's shooting. Makes it feel different from other superhero movies where guns are so taboo. I had heard people say it "wouldn't be a war movie" which concerned me because it revolves around a war, so I'm glad to see the war aspect is in it to some degree.

looks like iron man without downey. which means it won't have the egotistical charm of downey. i'm not familiar with the captain america comics at all (or the avengers comics, for that matter), but i'm almost certain that this is going to be awful.

also, dsh, tommy lee jones was perfect in no country for old men. i feel like one's opinion of that movie should be the basis for new eugenics in some dystopian future.

It looks like Iron Man without Downey...WHAT?! Other than them both being super-heroes, I don't see the connection.

Iron Man is about a self-absorbed, egotistical, yet brilliant billionaire (made from creating weapons) who has a near death experience. He then uses his ingenuity to save his own life and create the armor at the same time. This experience leads him to try and atone for past sins fighting villains and weapons dealers in his high-tech armor, yet he keeps his ego intact.

Captain America is about a frail kid who is brimming over with patriotic pride and a yearning to enlist in the military to fight the Nazi threat. He is turned down, but then recruited into a secret military project to create a super-solider. He goes on to be the one and only super-soldier after the project is sabotaged and the lead scientist killed with his secret formula destroyed forever. Captain America then goes on to fight in World War II against the Nazis, becoming a symbol of freedom and liberty for America worldwide. And instead of carrying an ego with him like Iron Man, he carries high morals, high fighting skills, and sense of duty and responsibility.

since iron man was relatively successful, this film will be made in the same style as iron man. this is fact. you know it yourself, deep down.
