Ps3 60gig yellow light of death :(

so i was downloading a demo and this shit happen---> green light, yellow comes on for a millisecond then flashing red.


anybody know how to quick fix?

As long as the seal is not broken Sony does offer an exact model even exchange repair. Its pricey, but you do get an exact same model reworked replacement with a shiny new shell. I went thru this three times on a 60gb PS3, in my case the second and third ones were still in warranty. You will lose all your game saves though. The previously purchased downloads can be re-downloaded from your account at no charge.

i do not have the warranty though...

I just repaired a ps3 from this issue - reballing. It took about three hours. A balsa wood airplane was destroyed in the process. Look into the exchange system that CRT was talking about, if not reballing is not terribly hard it just takes a long time - and the system will die again eventually.
