Re: Official Racketboy Suggestion Forum Thread
Not sure if I'm gonna get lambasted for this but in addition to a "selling" forum, neo-geo.com has a "wanted" forum that seems to bring success.
Sure people could just subject a new post in the B/S/T - WTB "X" for "$X" but I thought maybe a wanted forum could help separate these kinds of posts out from the others.
Just a feeler suggestion.

+1 for a Wanted section
Also, what ever happened to the buy/sell/trade feedback system that was in the works?

(there were 2 separate times I thought this was a good idea).

What's wrong with people just posting "Wanted: X" as the title of their BST thread? Happens all the time now...mjmjr25 wrote:+2 for a Wanted section.christoph wrote:+1 for a Wanted section

I don't believe anyone said anything was wrong...it was a suggestion.dsheinem wrote:What's wrong with people just posting "Wanted: X" as the title of their BST thread? Happens all the time now...mjmjr25 wrote:+2 for a Wanted section.christoph wrote:+1 for a Wanted section

The suggestion if acted upon is one of convenience, not a necessity.
Example: If I have an extra Sengoku MVS, I go scan the Neo wanted threads and just run through looking for Sengoku. It is simply more defined.
Sort of like getting a grey wavebird or a platinum wavebird. Either work well and look nice and are certainly nice to have, but given druthers, i'd take the platinum.
Re: Official Racketboy Suggestion Forum Thread
Well you can do the same with the search on this forum. Just search the BST forum for 'Wanted Sengoku MVS' minus the quotes.mjmjr25 wrote:

Maybe a section of the forum that is based around certain areas? Then users could talk retro with other users in their own area?
For example you could have an American one, a UK one, an Australian one etc. The users could then start threads in these stating their area or state.

Between general gaming, whatever/misc, and the 'introduce yourself' thread I think this is pretty much covered.BRIK wrote:Maybe a section of the forum that is based around certain areas? Then users could talk retro with other users in their own area?

A lot of our more regional talk is actually covered in the IRC. Just the other day Niode educated us on how cool it is to be in the UK as long as you are not from Liverpool or Scotland.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
