Alcest - Écailles de Lune

if you can appreciate the shoegaze/black metal hybrid thing, this is a perfect album. it's unbelievable. it's like isis and the smiths got together and smoked tweeds listening to darkthrone. i can't think of many albums that i've heard in the last few years that have such an anticipatory yet relaxing feeling. i feel really agitated and relaxed at the same time with each listen. it's haunting.

Hmmm, this I might want to check out. I just did a youtube search and found this beautiful piece of music by them:

Other stuff I have been listening to:

Ariel Pink's Before Today album
The Drums' self titled album
Jag Panzer's Scourge of the Light album
The Tallest Man on Earth's Wild Hunt album
Ratatat's Drugs song

I don't know if I mentioned it in this thread already, but I'm also loving Glasser's Ring album. There's a cool guy on youtube named Anthony Fantana but he uses the name The Needledrop. I've been finding some great music thanks to him

I'm a long-time, die-hard, obsessive Radiohead fan. Now that it has really started to sink in after multiple listens, I feel confident in saying that even though as a whole their new album (King of Limbs) is far from their best, the last half of it is truly some of the most beautiful and moving music they have ever put on a record. The last four songs are all on par with something like Pyramid Song, Videotape, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Street Spirit or even No Surprises. I think maybe it is just the fact that these tracks are all sequenced next to each other...it really makes for a haunting listen over the last 20 minutes or so.

Top stuff.

I'm on a real music kick right now.

I have always been aware of Gorillaz but never really paid much attention to them even though they seemed cool enough. However, I think I am going to try out their latest album after seeing this awesome video:

I like the song and the video has Bruce fucking Willis in it!

Krit Wuz Here (Mixtape)- B.I.G. Krit

Ridiculously good music if you listen to southern rap and can't wait for his next release next week.

This song though has been playing repeatedly and I need to get the album.

While I don't really care about the Gorillaz, I do need to point out they do have a song for Clint Eastwood.

Along with a bunch of other stuff, I've been listening to a lot of FantomenK.

Seriously, I don't care if I needed to pay for it, I bought that game just for the free music.

Indulging in a bit of Dubstep, and enjoying it. Which is weird considering I'm generally a hard core metal fan.
